Testing & Diagnostics
Our breast cancer specialists use advanced testing and diagnostic tools to accurately identify the type, stage, and unique characteristics of your breast cancer.
We also offer screenings and genetic testing to promote awareness and early detection of breast cancer.
A breast MRI involves the use of non-radioactive contrast dye in combination with a powerful magnetic field to produce high-resolution images of breast tissue. It helps evaluate abnormalities detected through a physical exam or a mammogram, such as lumps or other unusual changes in breast tissue.
A breast ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to produce detailed images of the inside of the breast. It helps evaluate abnormalities detected through a physical exam or a mammogram, such as lumps or other unusual changes in breast tissue. This non-invasive, radiation-free tool provides real-time imaging for accurate diagnosis.
A biopsy is a procedure used to remove tissue from the body for examination. A breast biopsy allows our doctors to evaluate potential breast cancers and provide precise diagnoses and treatment.
A PET/CT scan provides high-quality and detailed images of where disease tissue ends and where healthy tissue begins. The scanner also detects metabolic activity of cells, which helps physicians understand changes at the cellular level that could be early indications of cancer.
A diagnostic mammogram is a specialized X-ray used to closely examine areas of concern in breast tissue, such as a lump or changes seen on a screening mammogram. It provides detailed images from multiple angles, helping your care team evaluate abnormalities and determine the next steps in your care.
Mammograms are used to detect abnormalities within breasts through X-ray imagery.
A 3D mammogram, also known as digital tomosynthesis, consists of multiple breast images combined to create a clearer, three-dimensional view of the breast. 3D mammograms are especially beneficial for women with dense breast tissue, which can obstruct a clear visualization of any abnormalities.
Genetic tests, also known as genetic screenings, DNA tests, or chromosomal tests, predict your risk of developing certain malignancies, especially if you have a family history of cancer. We offer treatment, management, and prevention plans that are personalized to your unique genetic profile.
HER2/neu is a protein that can promote the growth of cancer cells. In some cancers, particularly breast cancer, high levels of HER2/neu indicate that the disease could be more aggressive with a higher risk of recurrence. Testing for HER2/neu helps us guide you toward the most effective treatment decisions.

- Benefits advocacy, if you are eligible

Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of each person we serve. A crucial part of fulfilling this mission is our financial assistance program.

We provide financial assistance in cases where annual family income is between zero and 400 percent of the federal poverty level, helping ensure that financial constraints aren’t a barrier to receiving medically necessary care.
