Improving Small Cell Lung Cancer Outcomes

Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is an aggressive form of cancer, typically found in people with a long history of smoking. SCLC affects approximately 35,000 Americans per year.

In a recent study at the Paul G. Allen Research Center at Providence Swedish Cancer Institute led by Kelly Paulson, M.D., Ph.D., a novel combination of immunotherapy drugs increased SCLC participants’ median survival rate from 10 to 25 months – representing significant progress towards better care options in the near-future.

At Providence Swedish Cancer Institute, our continued goal is bringing patients the newest and most cutting-edge innovations in treatment, so that we can offer more options when standard treatment hasn’t worked.
